Sleepy Family Privacy Policy
Sleepy Family (“Sleepy Family,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Sleepy Family mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

profile photo or avatar
account preferences and settings
account identifiers associated with sign-in methods
1.2 Sign-In Information
If you sign in using Google or Apple Sign-In, we may receive:

email address
profile image, if provided by the sign-in provider
We only request the basic profile information necessary to authenticate your account and provide the Service.
1.3 Alarm and Wake-Up Information
To provide the core functionality of Sleepy Family, we collect:
alarm time
repeat rules
alarm labels
time zone information
wake-up goals
alarm preferences and settings
wake-up status and related activity records
records of whether an alarm event succeeded, failed, was dismissed, or was missed
timestamps associated with alarm and wake-up events
1.4 Family Group Information
If you join or create a family group, we may collect and process:
group membership information
your wake-up status within the group
ranking or leaderboard-related data
group relationship data that allows group members to see shared wake-up activity within the same group
1.5 Audio Recordings
If the Service allows users to send or receive voice wake-up messages, we collect and process:
audio recordings
associated metadata such as sender, recipient, timestamp, and playback status
1.6 Notification and Device Information
To deliver notifications and enable alarm-related features, we may collect:
device tokens for push notifications, including APNs tokens and similar notification identifiers
device type
operating system version
app version
language and region settings
basic technical diagnostic information
1.7 Customer Support and Communications
If you contact us, we may collect:
your email address
associated metadata such as sender, recipient, timestamp, and playback status
attachments or screenshots you provide
other information necessary to respond to your request

app usage events

diagnostic identifiers
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
create and authenticate user accounts
enable Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In
synchronize alarm and wake-up data across supported devices
display family group status, rankings, and shared wake-up activity
send notifications, reminders, and wake-up-related alerts
process and deliver voice wake-up messages, if applicable
monitor service performance, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse
maintain security and protect users and the Service
comply with legal obligations
communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
3. Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In
If you choose to sign in using Google or Apple:
we only request basic profile information necessary for authentication and account setup
we do not access your Google Calendar, Contacts, Drive, or other Google services unless separately disclosed and explicitly authorized
we do not access your Apple data beyond the information made available through Apple Sign-In
you may revoke our access through your Google or Apple account settings at any time
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Family Group Members
If you are part of a family group, certain information may be visible to other members of that same group, including:
your wake-up status
rankings or leaderboard position
limited group-related profile information necessary for the group feature to function
4.2 With Service Providers
We may share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the Service, such as providers of:
cloud hosting and storage
authentication
push notifications
analytics
crash reporting
customer support infrastructure
These service providers may access personal information only as necessary to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
4.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to:
enforce our Terms of Service
detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
protect the rights, safety, and property of Sleepy Family, our users, or others
4.4 Business Transfers
If Sleepy Family is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party service providers such as:
Firebase
Google Sign-In
Apple Sign-In
cloud infrastructure providers
push notification infrastructure
analytics or crash reporting tools
If you use Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, your use of those sign-in services is also subject to the privacy policies and terms of the relevant provider.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Unless a longer retention period is required by law:
account information is retained while your account remains active
alarm records, wake-up history, and family group data are retained as needed to provide the Service
push notification tokens are retained until they are refreshed, become invalid, or are no longer needed
support communications may be retained for internal support and compliance purposes
audio recordings for voice wake-up messages are retained for [insert retention period, for example: “up to 30 days,” or “until playback plus 7 days,” or “deleted immediately after playback where technically feasible”]
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate security or dispute-resolution purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you
correct inaccurate or incomplete information
request deletion of your account and related personal data
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
request a copy of your data, where applicable
How to Request Account Deletion or Data Removal
You may request deletion of your account and personal data by:
using the account deletion feature in the app settings, if available, or
contacting us at sleepyfamily67@gmail.com
We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
HTTPS encryption in transit
secure database and storage practices
access controls and authentication safeguards
monitoring for abuse and unauthorized access
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
Sleepy Family is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will delete that information promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to applicable safeguards and laws.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy.
