Sleepy Family ("Sleepy Family," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Sleepy Family mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This section describes the categories of information we collect, organized in accordance with Apple's App Privacy framework. For each category, we indicate whether the data is linked to your identity and the purposes for which it is used.
We do not use any of the data collected to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
2.1 Contact Information

2.5 Diagnostics
If you opt in via your iOS device's "Share with App Developers" setting, Apple may share aggregated and anonymized crash reports and performance data with Sleepy Family. This includes:

App launch time and response latency
App version, device model, operating system version

2.6 Other Data
We collect:
Alarm settings (such as exact alarm time, sound, repeat)

2.7 Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, we may request access to:
Microphone: required to record voice wake-up messages. You may decline or revoke this permission in your device settings; some features will be unavailable as a result.
Camera: used for wake-up verification where applicable. You may decline or revoke this permission in your device settings.
Notifications: required to deliver alarms, wake-up reminders, and family interaction alerts.
We only request permissions that are directly relevant to the features you use. We do not access, collect, or upload photos, contacts, health data, or location data.
2.8 Information from Third-Party Sign-In Services
If you sign in using Apple, Google, or another third-party login provider, we receive:

Display name or account identifier
Other basic account information authorized by you

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
3.1 To Provide and Operate the Service
This includes using your information to:
create and manage your account
authenticate your identity
enable you to create, join, and manage a family
provide alarm, wake-up verification, leaderboard, streak, poke, and related social features
maintain the security, stability, and functionality of the Service
3.2 To Enable Wake-Up and Social Interaction Features
Sleepy Family includes social wake-up interactions designed around user-controlled conditions.
For clarity:
other users cannot send alarm interactions at any time without restriction
an alarm may only be sent when the recipient's own alarm has already gone off, the recipient has not completed wake-up verification or is considered overslept, and the recipient is not in DND mode
a poke may only be used when the recipient is not in DND mode, and usage is limited to three times per week
These features are part of the Service's intended functionality and are only available under the applicable system and user settings.
3.3 To Send Notifications
We may use your information to send you notifications related to the Service, including:
account or security notifications
alarm and wake-up related notifications
family interaction notifications
service announcements, updates, or policy changes
Notification delivery may depend on your device settings, permissions, network conditions, and operating system behavior.
3.4 To Improve the Service
We may use usage information to:
understand how users interact with the Service
improve user experience and product design
monitor reliability, performance, and technical issues
develop new features and refine existing ones
3.5 To Enforce Our Terms and Protect the Service

4. How Voice Wake-Up Messages Are Handled
Sleepy Family allows users to voluntarily record and send voice wake-up messages to a specific user or family member.
We do not keep permanent records of these voice wake-up messages. Voice wake-up messages are deleted promptly after successful delivery.
We do not use these messages to build advertising profiles, and we do not retain them longer than necessary to enable delivery.
5. How Information Is Shared
We may share your information only as described below and only to the extent reasonably necessary.
5.1 With Users in Your Family
Because the Service includes family-based interaction features, certain information may be visible to other users in the same family, including:
nickname
avatar
whether you are in the same family
wake-up status
streak / score
ranking
online / offline status
exact alarm time
DND schedule
voice messages, where applicable to the interaction
Leaderboard information is visible only within the family, not publicly across the entire platform.
By default, family-related information described above is only visible to members of families you choose to join or create. You can review and adjust visibility-related settings, such as DND mode, within the Service at any time.
5.2 With Service Providers
We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the Service. These providers process your information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services to us. They are contractually required to maintain appropriate security measures and may not use your information for their own independent purposes.

5.2.1 Role of Service Providers:
These providers act as data processors on our behalf. They are contractually required to:
process your information only as instructed by us;
maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures;
not use your information for their own independent purposes, such as advertising or profile building.
5.2.2 No Advertising or Tracking Partners:
Sleepy Family does not share your information with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics partners for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
5.3 For Legal Reasons and Protection
We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary to:
comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
enforce our agreements and policies
detect or investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues
protect the rights, property, or safety of Sleepy Family, our users, or others
5.4 In Connection With Business Transfers
If Sleepy Family is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, reorganization, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that process.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
In general:
account information is retained while your account remains active
family, alarm, wake-up, and interaction-related data may be retained as needed to operate the Service
analytics, diagnostic, and crash data may be retained for a limited period as necessary to monitor performance, security, and reliability
voice wake-up messages are deleted promptly after successful delivery
when you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
request deletion of your personal information
object to certain processing of your information

managing notification preferences
using the in-app account deletion function
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended solely for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain
personal information from any person under the age of 13.
If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use the Service and should not provide any personal information to us.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 13, we will:
(a) promptly delete that information from our systems;
(b) terminate the associated account; and
(c) take reasonable steps to prevent further collection.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a person under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at sleepyfamily67@gmail.com, and we will take appropriate action.
In accordance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 under any circumstances.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sleepy Family is operated globally, and your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries outside of your country of residence.
11.1 Primary Storage Location
Our primary data infrastructure is operated by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) in data centers located in the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.
11.2 Safeguards for International Transfers
Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to ensure that international data transfers are carried out with appropriate safeguards, which may include:
contractual commitments from our service providers to protect your information;
reliance on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection laws;
technical security measures such as encryption in transit and at rest.
11.3 Your Consent
By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States and any other country where our service providers operate infrastructure necessary to provide the Service.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, websites, or tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
