Sleepy Family Terms of Service
Welcome to Sleepy Family. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sleepy Family website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by the Sleepy Family team ("Sleepy Family," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service
Sleepy Family is a social alarm and wake-up support application that may include features such as:
personal alarms
family or group management
wake-up verification
rankings or leaderboards
push notifications
voice wake-up messages
related accountability and habit-support tools
The Service is intended to help users build more consistent wake-up habits through shared motivation and group support.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
The Service is not intended for, directed to, or designed for use by anyone under the age of 13. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
(a) you are at least 13 years of age;
(b) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction; and
(c) you have not been previously suspended or removed from the Service.
By creating an account, you affirmatively represent that you meet this minimum age requirement. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under the age of 13, we will take reasonable steps to
delete that information and terminate the account.
3. Accounts and Sign-In Methods
To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You may sign in using Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email/password authentication.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up to date.
4. Description of the Service
Sleepy Family is a social alarm and wake-up support service designed to help users build more consistent routines through family-based interaction.
The Service may include features such as alarms, wake-up verification, family or group management, rankings, streaks, scores, online or offline status, voice wake-up messages, poke interactions, and related notifications.
Certain features may be added, modified, limited, or removed over time.
5. Wake-Up Interaction Rules
Sleepy Family is designed with limited, condition-based interactions. Users cannot send wake-up interactions at any time without restriction.
An alarm interaction may only be sent when the recipient’s own alarm has already gone off, the recipient has not completed wake-up verification or is considered overslept, and the recipient is not in Do Not Disturb ("DND") mode.
A poke interaction may only be used when the recipient is not in DND mode. Each user may use poke a total of three times per week.
Availability of alarm, poke, leaderboard, and related interaction features may change over time.
6. Families, Invitations, and Admin Roles
Users may join a family only through an invitation or code. Families are not open for unrestricted public joining.
A family may have a room owner or admin with certain management rights, including the ability to invite members, manage membership, or remove members, depending on the feature set available at the time.
You are responsible for activity you initiate within your family space and for using family features in a respectful and lawful manner.
7. User Content and Conduct
The Service allows you to provide limited user-generated content, including custom family names and voice wake-up messages (collectively, "User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you create, send, or transmit through the Service.
7.1 Prohibited Content and Behavior
You agree not to create, send, upload, transmit, or distribute any User Content that:
contains harassment, threats, hate speech, or bullying
contains sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic material
contains illegal, violent, or unlawful content
impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity
contains abusive, deceptive, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable material
infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
You also agree not to misuse the Service to stalk, spam, intimidate, manipulate, or repeatedly disturb others. Custom family names must comply with the same standards.
7.2 Content Filtering
Sleepy Family reviews all reported User Content within 24 hours of receipt and takes appropriate action, including removal of content, warnings, or account suspension. The Service is designed with structural protections—including invitation-only family access, user-to-user blocking, admin removal, leave-family controls, and an in-app reporting mechanism—to limit exposure to objectionable content. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, flag, modify, refuse, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms, and to implement additional automated content filtering as the Service evolves.
7.3 Reporting Objectionable Content and Abusive Users
The Service provides an in-app reporting mechanism that allows you to report objectionable User Content or abusive behavior, including inappropriate voice wake-up messages, abusive family names, or harassing conduct by other users. You may also report concerns by contacting us at sleepyfamily67@gmail.com.
We commit to providing timely responses to all reports, with initial review completed within 24 hours of receipt, and taking appropriate action, which may include removing the content, issuing a warning, suspending or terminating the offending user's account, or other measures we consider necessary.
7.4 Protection Through Family Management and User Controls
Because Sleepy Family is an invite-only, family-based service, users are protected from abusive behavior through multiple layers of controls:
(a) Blocking: You may block any other user at any time, including members of your own family. Once blocked, the blocked user cannot send you wake-up interactions, pokes, or voice messages through the Service.
(b) Admin Removal: Family admins (room owners) may remove any member from the family at any time, which immediately stops all wake-up interactions, pokes, and voice messages from that member.
(c) Leave Family: You may leave any family at any time through the in-app settings. Upon leaving, you will no longer receive wake-up interactions, pokes, or voice messages from members of that family.
(d) Do Not Disturb (DND): You may enable DND mode at any time to prevent all incoming wake-up interactions and pokes.
(e) Reporting: You may report any user or User Content through the in-app reporting mechanism, and Sleepy Family will review such reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action, which may include suspending or terminating the offending user's account.
7.5 Enforcement
Sleepy Family reserves the right to remove any User Content, suspend or terminate any user account, and take any other action we consider appropriate to enforce these Terms and to protect our users and the Service.
8. Visibility Within a Family
Because the Service includes family-based interaction features, certain information may be visible to users within the same family. Depending on the feature set, this may include nickname, avatar, whether a user is in the same family, wake-up status, streak, score, ranking, online or offline status, exact alarm time, DND schedule, and voice messages where applicable.
Leaderboard information is visible only within the family and is not intended to be public across the full platform.
9. Voice Wake-Up Messages
Sleepy Family allows users to voluntarily record and send voice wake-up messages to a specific user or family member.
Voice wake-up messages are not retained as permanent records by Sleepy Family. They are deleted promptly after successful delivery.
You are solely responsible for the content of any voice wake-up message you send through the Service.
10. Device Permissions and Technical Limitations
Certain features of the Service may require device permissions, including microphone access for voice wake-up messages and camera access for wake-up verification.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that alarms, notifications, voice messages, wake-up verification, or wake-up interactions will always function without interruption, delay, or error.
Performance may be affected by your device settings, permissions, DND mode, silent mode, low power mode, operating system behavior, app background restrictions, internet connectivity, third-party services, or other technical factors.
11. Fees and Paid Features
11.1 Current Offering
At this time, the Service is offered free of charge. No fees, subscriptions, or in-app purchases are required to use the Service's core functionality.
11.2 Future Paid Features
We may, at our discretion, introduce paid features, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or other monetized offerings in the future. If and when paid features are introduced:
(a) Pricing, billing cycle, and renewal terms will be clearly displayed within the Service before any purchase;
(b) All purchases will be processed through Apple's App Store in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions;
(c) Supplemental terms specific to those paid features may apply and will be presented to you for acceptance before purchase;
(d) These Terms of Service will continue to apply alongside any such supplemental terms.
11.3 Subscriptions (If Offered in the Future)
If we offer auto-renewable subscriptions, the following terms will apply:
Subscription length, price, and included features will be disclosed at the point of purchase.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Cancellation of the current subscription period is not permitted; however, you may turn off auto-renewal at any time.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
11.4 Refunds
All purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. Sleepy Family does not directly process refunds for App Store purchases. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
